Cynthia met her husband, Charles, shortly after they both began working at The Plain Dealer in Cleveland.
They were married a year later.
When they came back from their honeymoon, their paper had been bought by The Morning After, making them both Post Cleveland reporters.
Eight years later, they're both still there, though Charles is moonlighting as the vigilante anarchist Captain Obvious and Cynthia has begun an affair with coworker Daniel Randolph.
